Today the cath lab docs at Holy Family hospital removed my last remaining surgical drain. Yay! Since the 15th, my drainage had reduced drastically, which was what we were waiting to see. I met with my attending surgeon on Monday and he scheduled the procedure today. They shot contrast solution into the drain and visualized it on the fluoroscope. There were no additional pockets of hidden fluid so they pulled the tube out. I have to wear a bandage for awhile until the hole heals up, but I don't have to worry about getting it caught on things or trouble showering. So that's the good news for today!

Great news Kelly!!! Dont forget to have pizza night when they play “The Ten Commandments” this weekend. I think this will be my 30th or 31st time. (HMMM…Good thing I’ve got other hobbies)
Hope to see both of you soon.
Paul
Jakki…thought you might like this.
And the Lord spake, saying, ‘First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.’ Paul
We have a few plans on Easter Sunday, but I already told Jakki about watching the Ten Commandments. I did forget about the pizza though— Emelie is making all of us an Easter brunch, so pizza might be nice for dinner. I’m learning to make my own pizza dough, so I might try it out this weekend.
Jakki loves Monty Python, it’s one of the reasons I dragged her up here from Arkansas :) She has excerpts from the Holy Grail on her iPod, and we listened to them in the moving truck on the way to Spokane.
Hopefully Jakki and I can make it over to Seattle to see you guys off in May when you pass through on your way to Mexico.
Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one. And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, “O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.” And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths, and carp and anchovies, and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats and large chu… Skip a bit, Brother…
