While searching for more on Beattallica (link from Kevin Bryant), I stumbled across a new music festival:
Mamapalooza! The self-proclaimed festival for mom's that rock.

Apparently there is a whole Mom Rock Band movement that I, just now, am hearing about. This is waaay cool! Such artist include:
- The MyDols
- Placenta (Afterbirth Cometh Rock)
- Black Flamingo
- Frump
- Housewives On Prozac
- The Mothers (from the UK)

Thanks for talking about Mother Rockers! We feel that we are the voice for silenced moms everywhere. It’s too bad that the music industry thinks of moms as purchasing vehicles for children’s music, rather than fully functional adult human beings. The music that Placenta makes is aimed at adult women who find there is nothing on the radio or MTV that we can bear to listen to. Bummer about Beattallica, by the way. They rock!
I tend to think that the music industry has a lot more problems than just seeing mothers as a purchasing source. Besides, they just borrowed that modus operandi from NASCAR. BTW, that’s a sweet Tele’ you’re playing. My dad is looking for one to set up for slide (he’s an independant music teacher in Moscow, ID— mom is a librarian with a penchant for the bizarre).
yea right!
Judy of the Mydol is nothing more than a attention whore slut-always has been!
I really enjoy reading your articles. Keep up the great work. TBoardenson
