» A Sad Day
(6)Today we had to do the hardest thing ever. We had to put Alice down. It was very emotional, and we got to do it at the house, and I know it was the right thing to do-- but the sadness is like a weight on my chest. After Jakki and I had a good cry, we started looking at pictures of her that I have taken over the years. Here's a few:

It sucks when you have to do that. It has been a few years since we had to put big Cass down and we still have not been able to replace him. How are Lucky and Ivan taking it? I could tell that when we went through that with Cass, Rex wasn’t the same for a while. Now he is the Alpha cat and won’t let us forget it (nor let another cat get anywhere NEAR his house — thank you Mr. toughguy guard cat. Your Siameese is really showing through).
Our family sure had a hard week with pets. It was really hard when I had to put Yokio down last week. I am sure that Honey Pie is showing Alice the ropes of Kitty Heaven.
